A sum shall seep,
Like tears, beneath,
Compelling lifesongs
From each breath
Held back, as words
Divide the field -
The furtive furrows
Plainly marked
For crows to see.
The "caw" of beaks
Encircles time;
And the tiny plot
Where she attends
Clipping leaves,
Uprooting stems,
Becomes her
Final mastery
As she, the seeds,
Sends me.
