The Corner #11 With rain in the hills and a family of moose near the firing range and the back marshes, West Bolton is a summer wonderland. Rabbit, raccoon, porcupine, woodchuck, deer, chipmunk -- only bear have not been spied, although they are rumored to lodge below the ridge of the Long Trail, typically staying away from the busy country traffic on Stage and Nashville Roads. Even the infamous catamount, or Eastern Mountain Lion, may yet survive to prowl the deep woods of the Green Mountains. The golf course is very green.... |
